Vila Nova de Paiva is a Portuguese town in the district of Viseu, located in the province of Beira Alta, in the Center region (Region of Beiras) and sub-region Viseu Dão-Lafões, with about 1 200 inhabitants.

It is the seat of the municipality of Vila Nova de Paiva, which has an area of 175.53 km² and 4,662 inhabitants (2021), subdivided into 5 parishes. The municipality is limited to the north and east by the municipality of Moimenta da Beira, to the east and south by Sátão, to the southwest by Viseu, to the north by Tarouca and to the northwest by Castro Daire.
