Ventosa is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Vouzela, with an area of 18.21 km² and 794 inhabitants (2011). Its population density is 43.6 inhabitants / km². It is, on the surface, one of the largest parishes in the county.
It consists of the following population clusters: Adsamo, Joana Martins, Ventosa, Sobreira, Quintela, Moitedo, Church, Gândara, Corujeira, Figueiras, Quinta do Prado, Picoto, Aguieira, Ansara, Covêlo, Casal de Auzenda, Sacorelhe, Casal Bom, Vila Nova and Silvite. To the north it borders Vouzela, to the south with Fornelo do Monte and Carvalhal de Vermilhas, to the east with Fataunços and Queirã and to the west with Paços de Vilharigues and Cambra.
The medieval parish of Santa Maria de Ventosa has the widest area, covering Fornelo do Monte, as referred to in 13th-century documentation, a time that historians attribute to their institution. The site of the primitive church, of which it is a successor, was, as it is today, quite far to the north. It was built on a date before the foundation of nationality and the creation of the parish since there is news written in the second half of the 11th century.
