Armamar is a Portuguese village located in the Douro sub-region (NUT III), belonging to the North region (NUT II) and the district of Viseu.
It is the seat of the Municipality of Armamar, which has a total area of 117.24 km2, 5,678 inhabitants in 2021 and a population density of 48 inhabitants per km2, subdivided into 14 parishes. The municipality is limited to the north by the municipality of Peso da Régua, to the northeast by Sabrosa, to the east by Tabuaço, to the southeast by Moimenta da Beira, to the southwest by Tarouca and to the west by Lamego.

Economy
Armamar's primary sector consists of the production of mountain apples, Douro and Port wines, cheeses, smoked meats and sausages. The apple is the most economically important product, which is why Armamar is known as the «Mountain Apple Capital».
